Marcus Sweeting

Pastor Marcus V. Sweeting is an anointed preacher and teacher currently serving as the Senior Pastor of Restoration Life Church (RLC) in Nashville, TN, which he established in January 2019. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of AIM in the TN Metropolitan Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Linwood E. Dillard. A dedicated servant of God, Pastor Sweeting is the second eldest son of Dr. Vernal and Lady Danette Sweeting. He faithfully served alongside his father in ministry for 10 years, with the last five as Executive Pastor of New Destiny Christian Fellowship. Throughout his ministry, he has held various roles at both the local and jurisdictional levels since the age of 16. Pastor Sweeting holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Middle Tennessee State University (2014), where he taught kindergarten and second grade for three years. He later earned his MBA from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN (2018) and transitioned into the finance sector. With a heart for souls, Pastor Sweeting is known for his practical and relatable teaching of God’s Word. He draws inspiration from Romans 8:18, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us." His personal mantra is, "As long as there is breath in your body, God will provide you with blank pages to change the end of your story." Pastor Sweeting is the proud father of four children—Aniya, Dathan, Walter, and Ayden—and enjoys spending quality time with his family when not engaged in ministry.
